23 “Truly[a] I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

I have noticed this thing in
Christianity, that it is almost impossible to walk as a Christian and live the
life that God wants you to if you don’t have faith for daily living, especially
finances. Most people have faith for the anointing when they are preachers; other
Christians too know how to believe for healing but most people don’t know how
to believe for finances. Lives have been destroyed and preachers’
loss their anointing because of the chase for money. I realized that my walk
with God is not going to be superb until I conquer in this area. You have to know
how to believe for finances and miracles in your life.
1. Reading
the above scripture, I noticed I have to ‘believe’ God for my needs. Most
people claim they are believing and you don’t see anything special happening in
their lives so you might think this word is not true. The fact that it is not
working for somebody doesn’t mean that the word of God is a lie. Jesus is not
telling us lies here. The first thing you have to do is to believe that the
word of God above is true.
2. Learn to pray or say what you want to see happen
in your life. Jesus says we should say it; thus we should confess it. Or, if we
pray we should believe that we have received it, it is then that we shall have
it. If you are a ‘sayer’ keep saying it till you start seeing it; if you prayed,
keep thanking him for answered prayers.
3. What
if you don’t receive what you are hoping for? Does it mean that God’s word isn’t
working at this point? No! Please examine your life. A sister was having an
issue with certain sickness and she had been praying with no results. When she
contacted me and I prayed with her, the Holy Spirit showed me that she was
holding a grudge against somebody and it had turned back to affect her. When I told
her she confessed and she received her healing. The problem is not with God but
with us. Let’s correct what is wrong with us if the scripture isn’t working for
us.
4. Mistakes;
most people have read this scripture and have not believed that it is true. Some
too switch between negative and positive confessions, we have to be consistent.
Another thing I discovered is that we are not ‘business’ with this scripture. We
should make our confessions on purpose and deliberately. Just as you can
believe for some anointing and receive it, just as you can believe for healing
and receive it, so must you believe for your miracle too.
5. As
a believer if you don’t learn the art of walking in faith and believing for
certain areas of your life, you are not going to enjoy your Christian life.
6. Jesus
has made us victorious and has promised us that we should reign as kings on
earth and not paupers. Rom 5:17. Take your rightful place in Christ.
7. Finally,
it is true that believers will go through certain adverse situations but we are
not supposed to let it stick, we are to overcome them and move on. It is wrong
to fail because failure is not for us. We are kings; we are the head and not
the tail. You are a winner. Walk in faith in Jesus name.
